Walked Up Shoots

Shoot: Walked up shoot  on  400  acres excellent high duck and pheasant woodcock present on the banks of the Welsh Dee.

A small hillside and some good hard woods there is potential we are putting feeders in this season and laying down duck and pheasant for this coming season of 1200 pheasant in 3 cages and 300 duck 100 per pond with the river. We noted some wild duck taking of as we walk the land.

walkedup_glyndyfrdwy_01.jpgThere are wild pheasant here, plenty of rabbit, good wood pigeon and excellent woodcock.  We sell 5 x 50 plus bird days to cover certain costs, the rest are for in house members where a £12.00 a bird fee on the day applies so heavily subsidised.  Dates are in the September newsletter so book quickly.

  • Vermin.

  • Woodcock: October 1st – January 31st.
  • Hare: No Season.
  • Rabbit: No Season.
  • Vermin: No Season.

How to get there:
Leave Llangollen on the A5 at Glyndyfrdwy see house with butterflies at lay-by indicate right and see a small entrance at the end of the lay-by towards TY-Newydd it’s a steep small road drive all the way  until you come to Garth-y-Dwr Farm park past the nice detached house has a 2nd floor conservatory  house in yard safely and don’t cause obstructions. Call at house to say you are shooting or ring first 01490-430269 David Pierson is the farmer name.
