Walked Up Shoots

Locations: Berwyn Mountains & Dolau near Llandriddnod Wells x 2 moors.

Shoot: 1100 acres  and 600 acres at Dolau mid Wales of productive Moorland 3 days per season only, an extensive area of which we have access to walk on for walked up grouse average bags are 5 brace a day out.

walkedup_grouse_x2.jpgWe have to charge club members a day rate here and a commercial rate applies for Non-Members of £200 a gun inc lunch and a duck flight either am or pm, lunch is in the field an enjoyable experience for all to enjoy. Expect 10 grouse and 20 duck minimum.
What species on land:

  • Grouse.
  • Blackcock.
  • Mallard.
  • Tea.
  • Snipe.


  • Mallard: inland September 1st – January 31st.
  • Snipe: October 1st –January 31st.
  • Woodcock: October 1st – January 31st.
  • Hare: No Season.
  • Rabbit: No Season.
  • Vermin: No Season.

Shotgun only please.

How to get there:
We will meet at the Plas Coch Hotel in Bala for 8.30 am and a ½ drive to the location there it’s a tough walk this one 1100 acres.

For Mid Wales 600 acres we meet at Old Hall Dolau near LLandridnod Wells I will give specific instructions for both shoots on bookings made.

The guide knows the boundary on the day guns should not concern them

Guide coaching:
Dave Hitchmough  or Dean Colman (at Old Hall) and Bob Glynn will be your staff on the day with pickers up team and dog team. Bring your own dogs bring your friends to beat the bigger presence the more success these birds sit so tight.

We can advise on other accommodation to suit individual’s needs from £30.00 B&B to £120.00. It’s your choice just advice us of your needs.
